I know it’s been a while since I last posted something here. There has been a lot going on behind the scenes, and I will be sharing some of that with you in the coming weeks.
Let’s face it, as much as we may want to believe that we can ‘motor on’ and keep up the appearance that nothing is changing or challenging us behind that “happy curtain” of social media, there are times when you just have to give yourself a break. More on that later.
In the meantime …
It’s my belief that, sooner or later, I’ll see good fruit grow from every event in my life. Like the proverbial pebble in the pond or a flutter of butterfly wings, I inevitably connect things together and find myself saying, if that hadn’t happened, then this would never have happened.
It’s pretty awesome, because when I apply that belief, I feel thankful and blessed. It’s also a good reminder that sometimes I just need to be a little more patient and watchful for the next ripple or breeze.
Here’s a recent example …
Thanks to my video interview with Mary Jaksch on Write to Done, Fiona Moore reached out to me. I’m so glad she did!
Fiona’s work with writing focuses on something near and dear to my heart: the power of writing for healing and connection. It’s not something I’ve written about on this blog too much (yet), but there is no question that writing has played a pivotal role in my healing a number of times.
Most recently, personal journaling together with some wise words from some wise friends (you know who you are), plus Fiona’s gentle prodding along with some seemingly random events, all brought me back online when I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. (There’s those ripples!)
I’m not going to say anything more about myself at this juncture, but not to be intentionally cryptic; it’s just too much to share at this point. Rest assured, everything I’ve learned will inform upcoming posts, naturally.
What I wanted to do today is bring to your attention Fiona’s upcoming program, in her own words. So, without further ado …
Write Out The Heart ~ Fiona Moore
Are you writing your personal story? Or about issues close to your heart?
Is your message about healing and transformation?
It can be challenging to write about something that’s personal.
It’s easy to get wrapped up in what you’re trying to say because your message is close to your heart. And then there are times when your heart aches to write something meaningful but you’re strangled by doubt.
So, how do you touch readers with your writing?
We know that sages, poets and mystics have used writing as a tool for healing and transformation for thousands of years.
Is inspired writing a technique? A random strike of lightning? Or, is there a way to consciously deliver love and inspiration on the page?
I teach how to write from the heart and to do this in a way that’s joyful and makes an impact on our readers.
My upcoming program, Write Out The Heart, will teach:
- The difference between ‘doing’ writing and allowing words to flow through you.
- How to use doubt to strengthen, rather than weaken, your writing.
- How to anchor inspiration on the page so that you get all of your ideas out of your head and into words on the page.
The program starts on April 13th, and there’s a special early registration rate available until April 6th.

T.O. here …
Quite frankly, I’m looking forward to the respite.
If your email inbox is anything like mine, you are inundated with “how-to” course offerings: write your book in 30 days, or get 10,000 readers in 45 days, or build your course in 60 days, or grow your social media followers in no time … it can be exhausting.
Just to be clear, those courses may or may not work; I’m not here to judge or to trash, and courses like that may provide some practical tips. What I am saying is that all of that marketing speak can suck the life out of the creative soul, if you let it.
This program is not one of those.
In a very small group setting, we will explore ways to write from within and, from that space, further explore ways to connect outward with our readers. I feel calm and refreshed just thinking about it!
If this resonates with you, you can read more and sign up for the program at WriteOutTheHeart.com.
[P.S. – My involvement is simply as a participant. I’m not teaching in this program nor will I gain anything financially should you choose join us. Basically, I’m sharing this because I think some of my readers might be interested.]
